view of the cotopaxi volcano, located at the cotopaxi province of ecuador. about 28 km (17 mi) south of quito, ecuador.
this is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world (5,897 m/19,347 ft).
i was lucky enough to see an airplane going thru the sky while taking this shot.
it is sad to see the glacier smaller, compared to what i can remember 20 years ago (you can see the red surface where the glacier was present back then)

vista del volcan cotopaxi, localizado en la provincia de cotopaxi, ecuador. esta aprox. a 28 km (17 mi) al sur de quito, ecuador.
este es uno de los altos volcanes activos del mundo (5,897 m/19,347 pies).
tuve la suficiente suerte para ver a un avión pasando por el cielo mientras tomaba la foto.
es triste ver el glaciar mas pequeño, comparado con lo que puedo recordar hace 20 años (pueden ver la superficie roja donde el glaciar estaba presente anteriormente)
